Southside is a popular centre in Wandsworth town centre anchored by Debenhams, Waitrose, Primark and Next with leisure anchors of a 14-screen Cineworld cinema and a Virgin Active gym. Additional retail anchors include Topshop, Office, Gap, H&M, New Look, TK Maxx, River Island and Oliver Bonas as well as café and restaurant operators such as Prezzo, Ed's Diner, Nandos and Caffe Nero.
The centre is part of the Metro Shopping Fund, a joint venture between Land Securities and Delancey. A 35,000 sq ft restaurant and retail extension overlooking Garratt Lane has completed bringing new brands such as Wagamma, Rosso Pomodoro and GBK to the centre. Planning consent was granted in March 2012 for a further development of 126,000 sq ft, anchored by an 80,000 sq ft Debenhams which is due to open in late 2015. The extension will create a stronger retail and leisure proposition for the centre, enlivening the retail frontage and helping to grow the evening economy in the heart of Wandsworth town centre.
Wandsworth is London's largest borough with a catchment of over 1.7 million people. The centre is conveniently located on the busy South Circular road and benefits from good public transport services and its adjoining 1,180 space multi storey car park.
