Click&Collect+ service launched at St. David’s Cardiff and Trinity Leeds

Press release

London, UK - 2nd September 2014: Land Securities, the UK’s largest commercial property company announced a new Click&Collect+ service at two of the country’s largest retail centres; St David’s in Cardiff and Trinity Leeds in Leeds.

The Click&Collect+ service is already live at St David’s in Cardiff and will shortly go live at Trinity Leeds.  The centres have a combined footfall of over 58 million and host over 200 retailers.

The partnership with Collect+ will see both centres create a dedicated service area, staffed by the centre team and including bespoke, dedicated fitting rooms to enhance the customer experience.

CollectPlus is the leading provider of third party Click and Collect delivery in the UK. With over 5,500 collection points and more than 260 retailers nationwide signed up to the CollectPlus service, the company plans to add another 2,000 to its network within the next 12 months. CollectPlus is a joint venture between PayPoint, the UK’s leading multi-channel payments company, and the UK’s leading independent parcel carrier, Yodel.

Commenting on the partnership:

Sean Curtis, Head of Marketing for Retail at Land Securities, said:“Significant changes in consumer behaviour means it is vital that shopping centres respond to the needs of today’s multi-channel customer. We identified that under a third of our retailers offered Click and Collect in these schemes. This new partnership ensures we continue to deliver best-in-class retail and leisure destinations that are equipped with the most innovative technologies and services. We will be monitoring the Click&Collect trials closely as part of our national strategy to support retailers in a multi-channel environment.”

Matthew Jacques, Strategic Partnerships Director at CollectPlus, said: “This is a significant partnership for CollectPlus as it continues to move our business on from being just a location-based delivery service, to being destination-based too. As shopping behaviour has evolved in line with the changing retail landscape, we’ve made it a priority to offer our customers the opportunity to shop in a way that is convenient for them. By introducing CollectPlus to two of the most prominent and popular shopping destinations in the UK, thousands of shoppers will now be able to collect and return their items at a time and location that fits with their day.”
