Bluewater beckons Bill'sPress release
Land Securities has today announced that Bill’s Restaurant is to open at Bluewater, Europe’s leading retail, leisure and entertainment destination. Bill’s new 3,195 sq ft restaurant will be situated at the entrance to Bluewater’s Winter Garden on the lower Rose Gallery.
Due to open in mid-October, Bill’s at Bluewater will serve its trademark breakfast to bedtime menu, plus additional options for afternoon tea, a range of daily specials, and a children’s menu. Bill’s complements the wider Winter Garden offer, which is focused on social dining. Half of the Winter Garden’s dozen brands selected Bluewater for their first outlets outside central London.
Commenting on the addition of Bill’s, Russell Loveland, Portfolio Director at Land Securities, said: “Bill’s has been seeking a presence at Bluewater for some time, so we are delighted to have been able to create the ideal location. They sit at the gateway to the Winter Garden, where the emphasis is on quality family dining, and are a great addition to our line-up of leading catering brands. Their offer, environment and experience complements Bluewater’s, with their breakfast to bedtime positioning a perfect match to how guests spend their time at Bluewater.”
Scott Macdonald, Co-Managing Director of Bill’s. added: “As we are open from early in the morning until late at night, it’s important we choose locations that will deliver customers, and Bluewater really fits the bill for us. The restaurant is in a prominent location, with high footfall throughout the day, and it’s an opportunity for us to create a really lovely restaurant with plenty of Bill’s sparkle. We’ll be adding something a little different to Bluewater and can’t wait to open our doors.”
The news coincides with a very strong summer for Bluewater’s dining brands, with catering sales up by 16.2% in July compared to the same month in 2013. It also follows the announcement that Steamer Trading Cookshop is to open its first store in a retail and leisure destination at Bluewater. The 3,900 sq ft two-level flagship, located on the Upper Thames Walk, is also due to open this October.
Bill’s joins a number of key new restaurant openings at Bluewater, such as Five Guys, with its first restaurant in the South East, and Comptoir Libanais, the Lebanese casual dining brand which selected Bluewater for its debut move out of London.
